Rick's academic career was spent as U.C Santa Barbara where he degreed in Physics and Business Economics. His professional career has kept him busy doing engineering consulting for both industry and military. Projects have ranged from design, drawing and prototype work involved with high performance Harley Davidson engine and transmission components to reverse engineering a half-scale Nascar Tubular chassis. Rick has completed courses in advanced Autocad and is well versed with most aspects of drawing / drafting. Rick has authored numerous technical documents to include Standard Operating Procedures, military specification, manufacturing and environmental test plans and engineering investigations. He has participated in physical configuration audits and understands that a correct and accurate drawing package assures delivery of quality components. Rick is allied with numerous local metal fabricators which allows Ricarl Design to move from concept to working components or systems seamlessly. This one-stop service allows the client to stay focused on the overall project. Rick's interests revolve around classic car restorations and home improvements. Carl's alma mater is Michigan St. where he has a degree in mechanical engineering. His experience and exposure with manufacturing techniques and processes has given him a fundamental understanding of the importance of technically accurate data packages. His skills and knowledge with geometric tolerancing and design engineering has made him an indispensable asset to the projects he has been involved with. Carl's diverse experience has seen him participating in projects ranging from aerospace missile launchers and medical syringe design to underwater towed sonar array equipment. He is proficient in all aspects of industry and military standards relating to dimensioning / drafting, materials / processes, and inspection / quality requirements of mechanical and electrical drawings. His experience with drawing reviews and tolerance studies ensures that the drawing package will be ready for manufacture the first time. This service eliminates numerous drawing revisions and time to project completion. For weekend entertainment Carl putts around with golfing and sports car restoration.
